Experience the satisfaction of capturing someone’s likeness in a portrait painted from life. Utilizing oil paints, learn a reliable block-in sequence, recognize anatomical clues, and apply color notes specific to the individual. Students can expect to create several naturalistic sketches and portraits painted from fully clothed live models while expanding their powers of artistic observation. Students will bring their own painting materials. Supply list will be emailed the week before class.
