Summer Camps at the Wilson Center

Give your child a summer filled with creativity, discovery, and the joy of the arts at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts. Our Summer Camp lineup offers something for every young artist—from our own Art of Nature camp, to the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music’s engaging Music Exploration Camp, and, new this year, the Skylight Music Theatre’s Skylight Spotlight camp. Whether your child is inspired by music, theater, or the natural world, they’ll find a place to learn, create, and shine. See below for details about each camp.


Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts - Registration opens Wednesday, Feb 18 at 8am

Week 1: June 22–26, 2026 – Singing & Dancing with Nature. Featuring classes with First Stage, Wehr Nature Center, Wisconsin Conservatory of Music (WCM), and certified Wilson Center Body in Motion teacher, Cindy Collins.

Week 2: July 20–24, 2026 – Creating & playing with Nature. Featuring classes with Wehr Nature Center, Wisconsin Conservatory of Music (WCM), and certified Wilson Center “Get Arty” teacher, Tiffany Knopow.

8:00-8:30am (drop off window) to 3:00-3:30pm (pick up window). Optional After Care until 4:30pm 

Arts Camp is for students entering grades 1 to 6.  Volunteer opportunities for High Schoolers.

Skylight Spotlight Education Programs

Skylight Spotlight is the youth education program of Skylight Music Theatre, offering immersive music theatre experiences for students in grades 3–12. In partnership with the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts, these summer programs give young artists the chance to write, perform, and train alongside professional teaching artists in a supportive and creative environment. From creating original musicals to preparing for high school and college auditions, Skylight Spotlight helps students discover their voice and take the stage.

KidsWrites (Grades 3–8) • 2 weeks: August 3-14 • 1pm to 4pm, Friday’s: Noon to 2pm • Cost $500

Take the Stage (Grades 8–12) • 2 weeks: August 10-21 • 9am to Noon, Friday’s: 9am to 11am • Cost $500


Wisconsin Conservatory Music Exploration Camp

Plan your child’s summer music camp adventure at the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center! Join the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music for a week of musical discovery at our Music Exploration Camp, August 24–28. Campers will sing, drum, and play ukulele, enjoy live performances from Conservatoryfaculty, and build confidence through creative music-making — no prior experience required. The week concludes with a Friday showcase for family and friends.

Open to young musicians of all experiences in grades 2 to 6, this engaging summer camp blends learning and fun in a supportive group setting where campers explore new instruments, make friends, and enjoy making music together all week long.
