Early Childhood Music Exploration • Ages 0-4

Early Childhood music exploration classes are a fun way to help your child discover the joy of music making— while giving them a solid foundation for a lifetime of learning.

Adult Group Guitar

Always wanted to learn to play guitar? Now's the time! Join our Group Guitar 101 class and make music in a supportive environment with like-minded adults. You'll learn basic chords, strum patterns, and numerous pop and folk tunes using 3 chords! Students must bring their own nylon or steel-stringed Acoustic Guitar.

Babies A • 0-12 Months: Enjoy rhythms and rhymes, learn some new lullabies, and have fun with your little one!

The positive atmosphere of this class helps foster lifelong connections with music, builds strong parent-child emotional bonds, and provides a weekly forum for social interaction. The goal of this course is to expose you and your child to the basic concepts of music through sensory awareness and active participation, with particular attention paid to beat, rhythm, and listening skills.

Babies B • 12-24 Months: Toddlers are almost always on the move! Channel your child's natural energy through music and movement learning.

As infants grow into toddlers, their musical abilities and needs develop as well. This class works with a toddler's ever-expanding cognitive skills through rich and engaging musical activities for the child and care provider. Activities support the growth of musical memory, creative artistic play, and active imitation.

Toddlers • 2 Years: Confident, active kids become confident, active adults!

At age 2, children are beginning to develop more complex cognitive skills that will aid them later in life. These classes focus on cognitive skills relevant to music, such as sustaining attention, remembering songs, and recognizing perceptual cues. Children in these classes learn how to apply these skills towards musical exploration, gain greater musical independence and acquire basic musical skills.

Preschool Aged Children • 3 Years: Singing, dancing, playing games - children adore this active, play-based learning environment.

By age 3, children are beginning to develop their singing voices, so singing a wide range of songs is a vital component of the Smart Start™ curriculum. In this class, children learn foundational musical skills such as tempo, meter, pitch, and volume together through educational, movement-based games.
