Learn about creative writing concepts by analyzing film and television. This six-session class analyzes how concepts such as character, setting, structure, and more are presented in film / television in order to develop students’ writing skills. Designed to be as impactful for writers just starting out as it is for advanced authors. Through in-class exercises exploring writing ideas, students will leave with - at least - a story outline, a fully developed character and multiple scenes they can use in their work. You are free to work on material of your choosing in this class, on one story or more, whether it be a piece you already began or something brand new.
