Calling all art lovers: as part of United Performing Arts Fund’s MKE Performing Arts Homecoming Celebration, we invite you to join us for a complimentary “Operation Art Strings” exhibit reception presented in partnership with Guitars for Vets featuring unique works of guitar art created by talented regional visual artists. Guests will also enjoy a free concert from the “unofficial” Guitars for Vets band, Kharma Shotgun!

Operation Art Strings is an art program belonging to Guitars for Vets, a nonprofit organization that enhances the lives of ailing and injured military Veterans by placing the healing power of music in the hands of our heroes. Through the Operation Art Strings program, talented artists around the country are connected with donated guitars to create unique works of art to help fund and further the Guitars for Vets' mission. Guitars for Vets and Operation Art Strings are pleased to collaborate with the Wilson Center and local artists of southeastern Wisconsin to share these unique works of art with our community.

This event is free and open to the public; registration is recommended. Please complete the below form!

The Operation Art Strings exhibition runs through October. Guitars are available for purchase, with all proceeds benefiting the mission of the Wilson Center and Guitars for Vets. To learn more, contact education@wilson-center.com.
