As part of our 20th Birthday season, the Wilson Center is excited to welcome you to our inaugural lecture series celebrating Wisconsin art and artists! Designed to offer audiences a deeper look at different mediums, Arts A La Carte will expand your arts knowledge and give you intimate access to behind-the-scenes conversations within our vibrant arts and culture community.

Often called America's only original art form, jazz is also one of our least understood. Whether you are a jazz novice or enthusiast, this lecture will walk you through the history of jazz, provide you with insights into contemporary jazz and its influences, and give you a behind-the-scenes look at the Fresh Coast Jazz Festival Fall Affair coming to the Wilson Center on October 9!

This lecture will feature Carl Brown (Fresh Coast Jazz Festival Chief Executive Officer), Rob Engl (Fresh Coast Jazz Festival board member and music educator, director, and musician), and Robyn Engl (jazz music educator, musician, and adjunct professor)
