Featuring Dave Schoepke (drums), Matt Miller (bass), and Chris Krellwitz (guitar). the Dave Schoepke Trio is a group of seasoned musicians versed in all styles of music coming together to create a unique sound based in jazz, soul, Latin, and improvised music. The group specializes in original, catchy compositions that cover those styles and showcase the virtuosity of each player. Each musician contributes the compositions to the group which are in turn interpreted uniquely and differently with each performance. The show is rounded out with some familiar standards as well as individual solo moments from each player showcasing their unique approaches to their respective instruments. All in all, each show is different from the last and is full of funky grooves, quiet, introspective moments, and some surprising, improvised twists!

For our 20th Birthday Celebration Season, the Wilson Center is thrilled to be part of a “shop local” arts initiative with Wisconsin Music Ventures, as we work together to build community through music and music through community. Our inaugural “Green Room” concert series features a true sound sampling of artists from around Wisconsin and is designed to introduce audiences to artists from a wide range of locales around our state (and just a little beyond) and an eclectic array of genres—including jazz, pop, rock, country, folk, soul, classical, Celtic, and more. Unless otherwise noted, each Green Room Series concert will take place in our intimate, cabaret-style Dawes Studio Theater.
