“Now the whole world knows what we’ve known for years: Betsy Ade is a rock star” (Kenosha News). While she only recently had the opportunity to stun judges John Legend and Adam Levine on The Voice, Betsy Ade has built a long-time fan base with Well-Known Strangers’ cello-infused, alternative pop/rock sound. Featuring Ade (lead vocals, guitar), Joe Adamek (acoustic guitar), Cameron Fair (cello), Roger Gower (drums/percussion), and John Kulas (bass guitar), the band released their new EP Path Away in 2018, with radio stations around the country spinning and streaming their single “Sidewalk.” The band’s unique sound is reminiscent of familiar music from the ’90s while being expressively groundbreaking and melodically rich.
PERFORMANCE UPDATE: Due to COVID-19 public gathering restrictions, we have had to make the decision to cancel this performance. While we were very excited to Betsy and the band following her stunning appearance on NBC’s The Voice last year, scheduling conflicts do not make it possible for us to rebook the performance in the coming months. All ticket buyers offered a credit toward a future Wilson Center presented performance. This credit will not ever expire, and to thank you for your support of the Wilson Center and our arts community as a whole, we have some special benefits to offer you when you have applied this credit toward a performance! We are in the process of contacting our audiences; if you have questions in the interim, please contact our Box Office at 262-781-9520 or boxoffice@wilson-center.com and they will be happy to explain these benefits to you and assist you with your tickets. We truly appreciate your understanding and support at this unprecedented time, and we look forward to seeing you soon!
