Wisconsin Pastels Artists – “See Me”

Show Description: See Me invites you to explore the journey each artist took to represent themselves. Each piece reflects a unique challenge—whether through literal self-portraits, symbolism, or metaphor—to express who we are. This collection is not just about artistic expression, but about the process of revealing parts of ourselves, facing vulnerabilities, and finding new ways to connect with others. Through these works, we share a moment of personal discovery and invite you to reflect on your own. This show is being judged for Awards by Frank Hoeffler.

Community members are invited to attend our upcoming art exhibit and reception featuring the Wi Pastel Artists. Join us on May 9th from 6:30-8:30pm to celebrate the creativity and talent of our featured artists. The evening will include the announcement of Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners, along with Honorable Mentions and an  Artists' Choice Award.  Light refreshments will be provided by the Wi Pastel Artist Members and there will be a cash bar available. Patron Participation – Get involved! The Wisconsin Pastel Artists will be handing out an award called “The People’s Choice” to one of their artists after the show ends on June 15th. Please stop by the gallery during box office hours and vote for your favorite painting to help select the winner starting on April 7th!

Mission Statement 

The Wisconsin Pastel Artists (WPA) is dedicated to promoting the appreciation of pastel as a unique and expressive medium.  Our goal is to support and develop our member artists both artistically and professionally through meetings, exhibitions, workshops, and critiques. As a dynamic statewide association of nearly 60 members, we encourage creative exploration with pastels, provide mutual support, and promote activities that increase public awareness of this vibrant medium. Some of our members have achieved signature status, a distinction recognizing both the quality of their work and their service to WPA. WPA is proud to be associated with the International Association of Pastel Societies.
