Singer/songwriter Steve March-Tormé, the son of the multi-talented Mel Tormé and stepson of the actor/comedian Hal March (host of NBC’s The $64,000 Question) celebrates Valentine’s Day at the Wilson Center.
Steve March-Tormé has released four “jazz/pop” albums, the first being Swingin’ at the Blue Moon Bar & Grille, which features a live duet between Steve and his dad, Mel, on Straighten Up and Fly Right. His next recordings were The Night I Fell for You, a blend of originals and standards, and The Essence of Love which included a duet with the jazz icon Diane Schuur.
Steve has wowed audiences in every venue from intimate jazz clubs to performing arts centers to festivals worldwide (Australia, England, Japan, Canada, and Brazil among others). In addition, he did a 28-city, cross-country tour entitled Tormé Sings Tormé. The show featured a ten-piece band and extraordinary arrangements penned by Marty Paich exclusively for the Velvet Fog.
