Romantic Milestones:
Wisconsin composer, William Neal, was commissioned to orchestrate a Rachmaninoff treasure: two early Suites for Two Pianos, now reborn as his “Symphony no. 0!” And, we welcome the young American pianist, Reed Tetzloff, as he makes his Waukesha debut performing Grieg’s favorite piano concerto.
Rachmaninov: Symphonic Sketches. The Suites Nos. 1 and 2 for Two Pianos, as orchestrated by William Grosvenor Neil for orchestra. This is the WORLD PREMIERE of this piece, which was commissioned by the Wisconsin Philharmonic, in honor of its 75th Anniversary and the 150th anniversary of Rachmaninov’s birth.
