“It must have taken more than one lifetime of music to produce Larry Carlton, he is the sum and son of a long lineage, beyond time, and beyond rational explanations of dedication or practice, the work of his hands speaks grace and passion knowledge. Listen, learn and be profoundly moved.” – STING

American jazz rock band Steely Dan (founded by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen) has sold more than 40 million recordings worldwide, across nine studio album. Nineteen-time Grammy-nominated guitarist Larry Carlton has played an essential role in that anthology, and Rolling Stone magazine lists Carlton’s tasty ascent on Steely Dan’s single “Kid Charlemagne” as one of the three best guitar licks in rock music.

Join us as part of our Wilson Center Guitar Festival as Larry Carlton treats audiences to the 1978 Album/Steely Dan concert!

Plus! Audiences are invited to arrive early and enjoy a special pre-show concert from 6-7:30pm in our Burke Colonnade featuring Guitar for Vet’s “unofficial” band, Kharma Shotgun, a gritty modern power trio take on 60’s psychedelia and 70’s classic rock!

Returning sounds to the stage! Click here to read a behind-the-scenes interview between guitar great Larry Carlton and Wilson Center “summer at the Center” reporter Taylor DeGroot.
