Widely known for its trademark warmth and blend, innovative programming, and riveting performances of music ranging from the Renaissance to the 21st century, Cantus is an engaging vocal men’s ensemble hailed by The Washington Post for “exalting finesse,” “expressive power,” and “spontaneous grace.” Returning to the Wilson Center for the first time since their 2014 sold-out concert, Cantus will delight audiences with a choral re-envisioning of three classic Christmas stories: How the Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss, The Year of the Perfect Christmas Tree by Gloria Houston, and an original story written by Cantus ensemble member Chris Foss. In addition to readings and selections from the popular stories, the concert will feature carols and holiday favorites alongside new classics.
