Arts A La Carte Lecture Series - NOTHING TO LOSE: HOMEGROWN IN WISCONSIN

  • Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts 3270 Mitchell Park Drive Brookfield, WI 53045 (map)

As part of our 20th Birthday season, the Wilson Center is excited to welcome you to our inaugural lecture series celebrating Wisconsin art and artists! Designed to offer audiences a deeper look at different mediums, Arts A La Carte will expand your arts knowledge and give you intimate access to behind-the-scenes conversations within our vibrant arts and culture community.

Author and Red Oak Writing Director Kim Suhr will share the genesis and evolution of her short story collection, Nothing to Lose (Cornerstone Press, 2018). Set in various Wisconsin towns and cities and published in Stevens Point, the book draws on the rich complexity of the American Midwest and shows us a region filled with real people: less than perfect, plagued with doubts, always reaching.

Kim Suhr is the Red Oak Writing Director and award-winning author of Nothing to Lose and Maybe I’ll Learn: Snapshots of a Novice Mom.
