Join the Wilson Center this summer for four fun-filled days devoted to the ins and outs of theatre! Recommended for students entering grades 3-6 in the fall, each day will be divided into morning sessions (the PAGE experience) and afternoon sessions (the STAGE experience) designed to build your child’s confidence and give them a summer bursting with creativity.

The PAGE Experience (morning sessions) • Tuesdays, July 21-August 11 • 8-NOON

Go behind-the-scenes to learn about the creation of a play! In each morning session, campers will focus on the fundamentals of storytelling, from creating an outline to story arc to resolution. Starting with engaging group discussions and a sprinkling of fun theatrical games, campers will work together to transform a story into a script through explorations of dialogue, stage directions, and character descriptions. Each session will result in a final script that will be staged and performed by afternoon campers! (Each PAGE session will include a mid-morning break with snacks.)

The STAGE Experience (afternoon sessions) • Tuesdays, July 21-August 11 • 1-5PM

Get ready for your curtain call! In each STAGE session, campers will have the opportunity to bring words to life on the stage by experiencing the full cycle of a play—from auditions to rehearsals to performance. Campers will learn stage directions and basic stage terminology and vocabulary, as well as fun theatre games. At the end of each session, STAGE campers will work together to stage a mini-production scripted by campers in the morning session; this production will be filmed for all campers to enjoy with their families! (Each STAGE session will include a mid-afternoon break with snacks.)

Are you registering your student for a full day, or would you like to take advantage of our extended pick-up/drop-off hours between the morning and afternoon sessions? Make sure to pack a lunch for your camper, and the Wilson Center will provide a supervised lunch hour from Noon-1pm with additional theatre-related games and activities, as well as special theatre guests!

REGISTER!

Register your camper for just one session, all eight sessions, or any number of sessions in between!
$50/session or $400 for all eight afternoon and morning sessions.

The Wilson Center understands that questions about COVID-19 are top of mind for all families. In addition to the enhanced cleaning procedures that the Wilson Center has undertaken in response to the pandemic, to mitigate risks during each From Page to Stage session, enrollment is limited to 20 students/session, enrollment age is restricted to grades 3-6, sessions will take place only one day a week, and each session will have frequent breaks for handwashing. While this is a theatre-based camp and students will interact with their fellow session campers, instructors, and volunteers, all From Page to Stage attendees will be expected to follow the Wilson Center’s COVID Courtesy policies; if you have questions or wish to learn more about these policies prior to registering your child, please contact our Director of Education Peter Mol at pmol@wilson-center.com.
