“ ... A COUNTRY-BLUES/INDIE GEM” – NO DEPRESSION
Rooted by brothers Mike and Thomas Mangione, Mike Mangione & The Kin is a touring group that American Songwriter Magazine has dubbed “orchestral folk” and that Time Out Chicago aptly describes as “a more atmospheric take on folk-rock.” In 2014, Mike began spending time in the northern woods of Wisconsin to focus on writing his fifth studio record. When finished, he reached out to Josh Collazo (drums) and Seth Ford-Young of Los Angeles-based Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros. Their 2017 release, But I’ve Seen The Stars, was described by Shockwave Magazine as “subtly written, hand crafted, Americana of the finest quality.”
