The Sharon Lynne Wilson Center for the Arts hosts its third annual Wilson Center Guitar Competition & Festival with the help of a $15,000 Joint Effort Marketing (JEM) grant, presented by Wisconsin Department of Tourism's Secretary Stephanie Klett. The check will be presented to the Wilson Center on Tuesday, May 5 @ 3:00 pm.

The Wilson Center Guitar Competition & Festival has grown since receiving its first grant in 2013, and this year is estimated to create an economic impact of $145,000 from traveler spending at area hotels, restaurants, and stores.

“We are thrilled to continue to support the Wilson Center Guitar Competition & Festival, which showcases all types of guitar talent from rock to jazz,” said Secretary Klett. “This event gives travelers one more reason to experience the Wilson Center, an incredible and all-encompassing arts venue known for internationally acclaimed performances and wonderfully diverse programming.”
