Competitor Information

First annual competition for guitarists 15-30 years of age

Four genres: Rock/Blues • Fingerstyle • Jazz • Classical

A total of $22,000 in cash prizes!

First place winners in each category earn a $3,000 cash prize, will receive a featured solo performance during the Wilson Center’s 2013-2014 Season, and will also perform as the opening act for Daryl Stuermer’s performance on Saturday, August 17, 2013 at 7 pm.

Additional awards include a $1,500 second prize and a $1,000 third prize in each category. Supplementary non-cash prizes will be announced at a later date.

Free master classes and clinics with some of the greatest guitarists of our time

Featured evening performances by Julian Lage & Chris Eldridge, Rene Izquierdo & Don Linke, and Daryl Stuermer of Genesis – all free of charge to competitors.
