Winner of the Shepherd Express’ Best of Milwaukee award for “Best Rock Band” in 2010 and 2011, classically-infused indie rock band I’m Not A Pilot has been entertaining audiophiles of all ages since 2009. The Milwaukee-based group’s success as one of the area’s major bands results, in part, from their unique instrumentation, known as “guitar-less” indie rock, which features ‘guitar simulated’ electric cello. I’m Not A Pilot’s music can best be described as something you’ve never heard before, encompassing a cross between Electro Pop and Rock N’ Roll mixed with symphonic sounds and structure. I’m Not A Pilot is comprised of Mark Glatzel (vocals/piano), Peter Thomas (cello), Adrian Esguerra (bass) and Steve Vorass (drums).
