Become a Wilson Center volunteer usher and experience great performances!
Through our volunteer usher corps, the Wilson Center is able to provide an opportunity to work for a great community-minded arts organization, to make new friends, and enjoy great performances.
Volunteer ushers commit to 10 performances over the course of 12 months and get to choose from over 400 performances and events.
Ushers manage activities, concessions, and merchandise sales (if applicable) in the Grand Hall, Kuttemperoor Auditorium, Dawes Studio Theater, and Ploch Art Gallery by consistently providing information and assistance that will enhance the pleasure and ensure the safety of the Wilson Center’s patrons.
Ushers ensure that all patrons enjoy a safe and rewarding experience at the Wilson Center.
The volunteer usher is expected:
- to work with the same level of commitment and discipline as a paid employee
- to receive the same level of respect as a paid employee
- to treat Wilson Center staff, patrons, and other volunteers with that same level of respect
