Featured in The Milwaukee Record’s 25 Best Milwaukee Albums of 2015 and the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Best 10 Albums of the Year, the ensemble’s recently released third album, For the Lovespun Ramblings and Ghosts in our Shoes, was also a finalist for 88Nine Radio Milwaukee’s Independent Release of the Year. Over the past decade on Milwaukee’s music scene, The Vitrolum Republic’s style has evolved, blending American roots and folk music with elements of blues, rock, singer/songwriter, and classical genres. Passionate throughout their performances of original compositions, they create an orchestra of improvisational sound with loops and effects.
